I am an Adult, Adolescent, and Child Psychiatrist and currently a Fulbright Scholar in Myanmar, teaching a 7 1/2 month course in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry to General Psychiatrists at the University of Medicine 1 in Yangon. My students and I completed the first course in October 2019 and I am set to start the second in January or February 2020 with a new class. It has been so much fun that I plan to remain in Myanmar to help develop children’s mental health services there. It is an opportunity I cannot bypass.
